UNICOVER DAMP COVER
Garnish Paints Damp Cover is a special fibre-reinforced elastomeric liquid waterproofing membrane paint. It is formulated with an excellent elastomeric acrylic polymer and reinforcing special polyester fibres. Upon drying, it forms a thick, uniform, durable membrane that produces a solid waterproofing layer on the substrate.
Recommended Usage:
It can be applied on building roofs, terraces, balconies, parapets, sunshades and exterior vertical walls.
Prepare the surface by cleaning. Ensure that it is free of dust, oil, grease, and loose particles. The substrate must be checked for its soundness. Small cracks of 2-3 mm or less should be opened in a V-shape, cleaned and filled with Garnish Crack Filler mixed with Garnish SBR. Bigger cracks, damaged portions and hollow areas must be repaired.
HORIZONTAL AREA:
Apply a self-priming coat of DAMP COVER, and dilute it with approx. 250-300 ml clean water. Apply two perpendicular coats, i.e. first coat vertical and second coat horizontal, in the gap of 4–6 hours between each coat of Damp Cover without dilution. For Terrace, ensure that the product is applied on the entire roof including the parapet wall to form a continuous waterproofing layer.
VERTICAL AREA:
Apply a self-priming coat of Damp Cover and dilute it with approx 250-300 ml clean water. Leave it for 4–6 hours. Apply a second coat without dilution of the Damp Cover. After 8 hours, apply 2 coats of Classy Exterior paint. Keep 4–6 hours of intervals between coats.
