WHITE PRIMER

Garnish White Primer is a water-thinnable Acrylic resin-based primer applicable on the exterior as well as interior walls as the priming coat. The appearance of the top coat of emulsion paint increases due to the high opacity and whiteness of the primer. It does not require any curing.

Recommended Usage:

It is recommended for all types of exterior/interior walls as an undercoat. It can be applied on plastered walls, asbestos, concrete, brickwork, etc. Avoid surfaces with continuous dampness and seepages.

New Surface:

The new surface should be given enough time to mature. Prepare the surface using Emery Paper 180 and wipe clean.

Old Surface:

Sand the old surface with Emery Paper and make it free of all loose, powdery material and old paint films. The algal and fungal growth can be removed using a wire brush and the surface must be cleaned with a water jet and left to dry. All structural cracks must be open in a V-shape filled with White Cement/Cement-based plasters and leakage should be stopped before the actual painting. Cracks should be filled up using a cement and sand mixture in the ratio of 1:3 or by using Garnish Unicover Crack Filler powder.

Finishing:

Apply 2 coats of Durable Acrylic cement primer thinned with 700-800 ml by volume of potable water per LTR. Allow drying time of 5-6 hours between the coats.
